[solved] unable to login to arch linux forums with Chromium

I'm using Firefox right now, but yeah, is this a bug with Chromium? I can login to sites like Facebook, last.fm and gmail/youtube just fine, but not the arch linux forums. The only other site that I've noticed having this issue is one called www.hungrybuffs.com - I want that to work - I usually just order food, I hate cooking smile

I even removed all of my extensions to see if it was a problem with one of them, but no luck...

Re: [solved] unable to login to arch linux forums with Chromium

I am using  Chromium 15.0.874.120 (Developer Build 0 Linux) on Linux 3.1.0-4-ARCH #1 and LastPass1.80.0.

Works dandy.  Are you using stored passwords?

Re: [solved] unable to login to arch linux forums with Chromium

I just checked the password. It's correct. Technically, it brings me to the login splash screen and then brings me back to the main page not logged in. It won't even go to the login screen on hungry buffs. I'm using 64 bit Arch. I've tried this on both Mate & Xfce. Same problem.

EDIT: I just removed chromium and deleted all of it's config and cache files from system and reinstalled it. Same issue. This is the version I'm using: chromium 15.0.874.120-1

Do you block plugins/javascript/pop-up windows or auto-redirects?

Everything seems to be ok, openjdk should not be an issue.
Can you try to delete all your Chromium data + cache?

Re: [solved] unable to login to arch linux forums with Chromium

I already manually deleted all of the hidden chromium folders located in my home folder. Unless you know of a better to do it?

:-) - No, I just was talking about cleanup from Menu>Tools>Clean Browsing Data...

Re: [solved] unable to login to arch linux forums with Chromium

OK smile I did that. I cleared all data from the beginning of time, restarted chromium and same problem.

Strange indeed... Try Menu>Preferences>Under the Bonnet>Content Settings>All Cookies and Site Data - and see if anything is left in there and if yes, remove it.

You can try to uninstall Chromium, search for any leftovers (e.g.

find / -name chromium

), restart your PC, wait for about 30 seconds and reinstall Chromium, but this time try the most recent, dev version from AUR: http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=37244

Re: [solved] unable to login to arch linux forums with Chromium

I had this problem earlier, but it randomly fixed it self...Although it was just the Arch forums I couldn't sign in to.

Clearing cookies and cache had no effect though to my knowledge.

Well, you were correct. It fixed itself overnight... Still wish I knew what the problem was though. I guess I'll marked this solved...
