USB to IDE/SATA causing reboot

I have an RData USB to IDE/SATA adapter. It mostly works, except that when using it, my laptop suddenly reboots.

Here's the messages from errors.log right before it rebooted

Nov 24 05:26:24 localhost kernel: [458057.031326] sd 13:0:0:0: [sdc] No Caching mode page present
Nov 24 05:26:24 localhost kernel: [458057.031331] sd 13:0:0:0: [sdc] Assuming drive cache: write through
Nov 24 05:26:24 localhost kernel: [458057.033535] sd 13:0:0:0: [sdc] No Caching mode page present
Nov 24 05:26:24 localhost kernel: [458057.033542] sd 13:0:0:0: [sdc] Assuming drive cache: write through
Nov 24 05:26:24 localhost kernel: [458057.045394] sd 13:0:0:0: [sdc] No Caching mode page present
Nov 24 05:26:24 localhost kernel: [458057.045399] sd 13:0:0:0: [sdc] Assuming drive cache: write through
Nov 24 05:26:24 localhost ata_id[21617]: HDIO_GET_IDENTITY failed for '/dev/sdc': Invalid argument

I was just about to add more information when my laptop rebooted again sad

As for HDIO_GET_IDENTITY, I don't think it was the one which caused the reboot, since a same problem happened and didn't cause any serious trouble (according to a post in arch bbs)

Is there any solution for this trouble? Perhaps, settings in kernel module or udev?

Thanks smile
