Re: Gnome stopped working

did you do anything before it stopped working? such as upgrading something?

do you login via grphical interface or do you do the old startx thing?

if the latter are there any errors?

any sort of error messages would help

Re: Gnome stopped working

okay i noticed that i saw a
GTK-WARNING: Cannoit open Display

i updated gtk to latest but that didnt help at all either... im guessing somthing is wrong with gtk all of a sudden

also when i updated gnome i had to do each package by name manually.. i couldnt just do a pacman -S gnome or what ever i always gives me package not found in database.. so i had to update each packagae seperatly like gnome-panel etc ect
