problem with usb naming during install

I'm having a problem installing arch on my new vertex 3 SSD on my thinkpad t60p.

I didn't have a problem when installing on my HDD, so I'm a little puzzled. I can boot from the usb drive fine (2011-08-19 install disc), but when it tries to load, it shows the message "waiting 30 seconds for /dev/disk/by-label/ ..."

For some reason its trying to find my usbdrive labeled " ", which i don't have.... I tried doing a lot of formatting of the drive from both windows and linux, and have tried loading the image from unetbootin in both windows and linux.

I've ran into this problem before, but the boot drive was never trying to load " " named usb, so I could actually fix that. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

Somewhat similar error messages https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=127769
I think I saw another thread about problem with " " named drive but can't find it ...

Re: problem with usb naming during install

I'll take a look at that post, thanks.

I must have messed up my label somehow.... I thought it would fix it if I did a complete format and label update with gparted, but no luck
