[SOLVED]Another Pulseaudio and microphone problem

Hello everyone!

Few days ago i reinstalled arch and set up everything as i usually do.
Installed xfce, pulse, and skype.

In alsamixer I enabled capture and set all the microphone volumes to max as i always do.
But when i tried skype test call I wasn't able to hear myself.

Curious i checked alsamixer again... everything was ok.
I opened pavucontrol and noticed that on the input tab
progress bar that indicates if something is recording never moved.

Then out of curiosity i unmuted the mic in alsamixer to see if my microphone might be broken,
but I could hear myself so apparently everything is working except pulseaudio is not able to capture anything

Any suggestions?

Re: [SOLVED]Another Pulseaudio and microphone problem

I installed fc16 as a test to see if microphone would work there, but same problem persist!

Re: [SOLVED]Another Pulseaudio and microphone problem

I've found a solution...

creating /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf
and adding the line options snd-hda-intel model=auto

made everything work... even the internal mic of the asus m50vn
