I have a problem with latest drivers nvidia x86_64 on my Geforce 9500, when my monitor off or standby all, system freeze and kernel panic.
I search on internet and i found this threat on nv forum with same problem. http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthr … f&t=169158 and attach log it's same that my problem
I partial fix this problems remove the driver from pacman and install a downgrade version 285.05 from nv website. http://www.nvidia.es/object/linux-displ … er-es.html
anyone with same problem?

I'm not sure it's the same thing, but my laptop (with nvidia-driver upgraded today) stopped shutting down correctly: the system halts with a blinking cursor in the top left of the screen..

zenlord, you can test this switch to first tty shell (ctrl+alt+f1) and standby or switch off monitor, you must see all kernel panic trace.

I have the same problem and my problem is not being solved by downgrading to 285.05 drivers
Mine is a lenovo g450 laptop with a nvidia g210m card

Also kernel panic occurs only when i manually switch off the monitor and try to turn it on again. It does not occur when it turns off due to power management.

yes, it's same like me. Only i can work with a 285.05 version from scratch. I have investigated and i think that there is a problem with lastest drivers with Geforce 9xxx series. Also i see other problems, slow scroll on websites navigation and other problems with compiz.
