Hey,
First time Arch user. Love the philosophy and ready to upgrade from Ubuntu.
When going through the beginners guide, it says wpa_supplicant is required for wpa networks, however I don't see that package in the list, I only see wpa_actiond. I ran md5sum on the .iso and it checked out.
Thanks

I ran into this issue as well. I'm not denying the package exists at the location given in the reply, but it isn't an option when selecting packages in the installer whereas the Beginners' Guide says to select it there. Not a huge deal for me because I need to use ethernet right now anyway but it is a bit confusing. Maybe the Guide should suggest installing wpa_actiond instead? That seems the only other likely possibility.

OK. I just figured out that the list of packages is not in alphabetical order and wpa_supplicant is listed separately from wpa_actiond and wpa_supplicant_gui. A hint that this is the case somewhere would be great - especially since wpa_supplicant was preselected as part of base so there's no need to add it manually in any case!

wpa_supplicant is still in [core] repo, moreover it is in base group, so it will be installed along other packages from that group.
