[solved]Does the crond daemon must used in rc.conf?

This is one of the questions asked and answered so many times in so many boards. Check the crontabs for all users, then you'll know.

I recommend that you don't disable it. If you do programs like logrotate will not be run. Logrotate rotates logs and deletes old ones to prevent them from growing unbounded.

crond uses 150KiB RAM on my system. I'd say it's memory well spend.
