The package:
This program is very useful if you have Arch on a laptop. It provides nice security against offline attacks. You have to make two directories (like .dirfoo and dirfoo). In .dirfoo will have encrypted files in it. Then when you start encfs and give the proper parameters and password it will "mount" that to dirfoo. Encfs acts as a passthrough filesystem and it encrypts and decrypts files on the fly (http://arg0.net/users/vgough/encfs.html).
You will also need fuse and rlog. fuse.ko will be located at /lib/modules/2.6.10-ARCH/kernel/fs/fuse and has to be loaded into kernel with insmod. I don't know yet why modprobe doesn't work.
The pkgbuilds:
EDIT (20.07.2005): removed the old PKGBUILDS - moved all to AUR.
