Intel D945gclf2, missing sound channels after 3.1 upgrade [alsa]

After the 3.1 update alsamixer is missing rear, front and center channels. It seems the last kernel that worked was 3.0.7-1. After that all kernels have missing channels, tried OSS and pulse, didn't work. I'm using D945gclf2 integrated Intel ICH7 soundcard. Can anyone help me? smile

what do you mean by missing?

can't you bring them back from the option of " f-somthing" key?

Press F5 in alsamixer. Maybe it will show it.

Re: Intel D945gclf2, missing sound channels after 3.1 upgrade [alsa]

They are completely missing, I can't get them back. Basically my sound system was downgraded from 5.1 to stereo by the kernel update. I hoped that the new updates would fix it because I saw that the 3.1 upgrade broke sound for a lot of people, but three updates have gone by and it's the same. In other words I had Master, PCM, front, rear, center and LFE channels, now I only have Master and PCM.

@Shark
I tried that already.
