Has anyone tried to port mintmenu for Mate to Arch? if not that, USP2 for Mate?

I'd love to use Gnome 2.32.1 + MintMenu + Compiz EXACTLY how Linux Mint 11 has it - it's perfect! Mate would work too...

@yochaigal,
I hear ya brother. I had my arch gnome 2.x desktop tricked out the way I wanted with USP2. Upgraded my hardware over a weekend, installed arch and that was right after the gnome3 came out. boy was I surprised when I booted my fresh arch install for the first time.
Tried XFCE, was ok, but could get used to how some of their apps/features worked. went to linux mint at work since 11 came out. Mate isn't bad, still a little early, but I will love it once it gets more mature.
anyway, I borked my system system yesterday trying to get it back to what I had last week, now half the apps don't work, crashes. Ugg, arch install is in store for this weekend.

I just set up Mate, holy shit it is EXACTLY what I want. Now we just need to clean it up a bit, but overall it's solid (obviously) and fast! And no weird XFCE problems!
BTW I used volti for volume, but no pulseaudio support; so I installed pnmixer - works great!

Mate does rock, and it's fast, and can't wait until it becomes a little bit more mature.
@Yochaigal,
how did you install mate? what repo did you use?

I used the repo from the archwiki post on MATE. I had to do some --force options to install. I also had to remove zenity with -Rdd (coming from XFCE). I then installed GDM, setup my xinitrc, viola.
