Rhythmbox IPOD Sync Problems

Hi, I thought I'd try Rhythmbox to sync my music collection with my ipod classic, but I keep getting errors about too many open files.  Has anyone had this problem?  If I do nothing eventually xorg crashes   I'm using Xfce 64 bit.  Here's some errors it throws when this happens:

Never got this working, just using gtkpod instead.
