no lan on latitude d610

hi i have installed arch but i cant access the net to start installing desktop enviroment etc i am plugged straight into my router with lan and it defo works cos im using it on my mint machine at the moment i am new to arch is there a package i should select to install from the cd or any other solutio thanks in advance for any help.

Did you configure rc.conf and select the interface you want to use to connect to the network?

If it shows that you are connected in ifconfig then request an ip address with dhcpcd.
