Some ISP's block PGP keys import

Hi,

I know this has been posted before, but hear me out first.

I seems that Pacman is plagued with the same problem PPA's were plagued in Ubuntu before. The problem is, some ISP's have blocked the port used to import PGP keys. Back in the day, we used a script. Then things got fixed on Ubuntu.

I have access to another computer with a different ISP and Pacman is importing keys normally.

Here's what I did to fix the problem:

-Edit /etc/pacman.d/gnupg/gpg.conf
-replace keyserver hkp://keys.gnupg.net

with keyserver hkp://pgp.mit.edu:11371

Things are working fine now!

(Couple of weeks old, but...)
Wouldn't the proper solution be to bitch at your ISP?

@ngoonee - I thought it would be ideal for the troubleshooting section here: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Pacman

No?
