Good wireless device

I posted another carl9170 in the "Networking, Server, and Protection" but I am sick of dealing with this driver.  I would be more than happy to just buy new hardware if I knew it would work better.  Any recommendations for a good wireless device?  I have space for a PCI card, but prefer USB.

Re: Good wireless device

On a whim I'll assume you only need b/g, if that's the case a good USB adapter would be the Alfa AWUS036H
It uses the RT8187L chipset, supports all 14 channels, includes Managed and Monitor modes plus it's aircrack-ng compatable.

For a decent list of chipsets, try searching this list.

Re: Good wireless device

I would prefer n, but something that works reliably is better than something faster that breaks every time I do an upgrade.
