Gtk 3 issue with gedit in XFCE

Hello, guys, I have a strange prob - I use XFCE and to make gtk3 apps more attractive I copied Adwaita config to .config/gtk-3.0. It worked out, but the problem is - now gedit doesn't apply .xml colour themes. It just has white Adwaita background and that's it.  Any idea, please?
