Fellow Archers-
I have created 2 Archlinux machines for as VirtualBoxes at work - they work great. Now my boss is looking to make a third machine to back those 2 up and he can't install - pacman gives him truncated databases and then can't find some of the packages for install.
If I set the /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist to use only ftp.archlinux.org it works great. Slow, but no problems.
When using the uwaterloo Canadian mirror and the RIT US mirror (because they are close) I get the truncated database problems.
I am not using the kernel mirrors as there are bug reports that mirror the behavior I have mentioned.
There are no errors in /var/log/pacman
Can someone suggest better mirrors to use or some other way to solve this problem?
Thanks!
