sharing my files in apollon

I have not figured it out yet. whatever I do I can't configure giFT or apollon to share my files. although the program itself is wonderful I have never found any reliable documentation.

giFT and poison work great on the mac so I'm believing it's more a linux permissions issue (sharing hidden files?).

what is also confusing is the shared folder ~/.gift/completed and the folder apollon installs in home simply named Shared Folder.

anyone with a clue?

is it just me? does anyone see their files being shared or files going out?
