wrong date in log

hi to everybody,

i noticed that the rtkit-daemon has a wrong date (time is back of 1 hour) in the logs, e.g. in the everything.log:

Dec 16 11:53:19 localhost gdm-simple-slave[1042]: WARNING: Child process 1147 was already dead.
Dec 16 10:53:19 localhost rtkit-daemon[1215]: Successfully made thread 1297 of process 1297 (/usr/bin/pulseaudio) owned by '1000' high priority at nice level -11.
Dec 16 10:53:19 localhost rtkit-daemon[1215]: Supervising 2 threads of 2 processes of 2 users.
Dec 16 11:53:34 localhost dbus[650]: [system] Activating service name='org.freedesktop.UDisks' (using servicehelper)

how can i fix this ?

thanks

Recent rtkit chroot()s, and the timezone data is not available in it. Ideally rsyslog owuld just override the time data for local clients from SO_TIMESTAMP. Or glibc should be able to cache the tzdata instead of always going to disk. I
think I filed a bug requesting the latter some time back.

Possible solution may be found in linked bug: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=444043

Re: wrong date in log

Well, it's clear for me that there is no fix; and indeed in the referenced bug-report a fix isn't included.

You might recompile with a patch that disables do_chroot, but I think that will have security implications.
