When I change Gnome-shell theme from the default Adwaita, I can't use Type To Search in the Dashboard. As soon as I type that first letter, it freezes and nothing works, keyboard, mouse. I had to do a hardware reset to log back in. In the dash, I can click on Application, Windows and it works. I just can't use the Search.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

@Sheeepy thought I'm the only one affected by this. For me the problem started with the update to Gnome-3.2. With Gnome-3.0 I can change themes (manually) with no problems, and use type to search.

I ran into the same problem, or one similar, when using the -ck kernel with bfq active, switching to noop or cfq fixed it for me.

I tried other themes particularly those that explicitly states Gnome3.2 compatible and they do work. I'm tagging this thread solved then. thank you.
