Conflicting kernel packages during inital install on IMAC G3

Hi,  I'm a newbie to Arch (but not to Linux) so apologies if this is a dumb newbie mistake.   But..

I boot the install CD (the most recent one -- March 2011) and go through the first couple of install steps ok.   Setting up the network and partitioning works fine.

It fails during the install packages step.   It downloads the packages ok but then it fails during 'looking for inter-conflicts...'.   The error messages displayed is:

"error: unresolvable package conflicts detected"
":: linux-pmac and linux-pmac64 are in conflict"

and it fails.

This is a 32 bit machine so I would think it should simply ignore the 64 bit kernel.

Is there a trick to making this work?

Somebody did report it to the ArchPPC bugtracker, so be sure to keep an eye on this report: http://bugs.archlinuxppc.org/index.php? … task_id=21
