How do I get a hard drive's make/model? [solved]

Sorry, folks. Drawing a blank here. Got some bad sectors (DRDY ERR all the time now) and want to check my warranty. I think it's a Seagate. I wonder if I can get the serial number too without opening the case.

The easiest way is to use the info under /dev/disks/, you can find everything there - serial number, make or model etc.

$ ls /dev/disks/by-id/
