Set up static IP for HTPC?

How can I set up static IP for my HTPC?

Right now, ip changes on almost each reboot, so when I try to connect to HTPC with ssh, I almost have to guess which one it is.

Re: Set up static IP for HTPC?

If you are trying to connect remotely, and your ISP does not give static address, you can use a dynamic DNS and a daemon which updates your IP for the dynamic DNS.

I just haven't really looked at this topic much before.
