My laptop display is turned down automatically after 20 minutes of idling. Now i want to disable this function, but I can not find a config where it can be done (not in pm configs nor in acpid confs). Please give me advice what should I do.

this is an example of a poorly written description of a problem.
what desktop environment? how do you setup your power settings? what have you tried?

I thought that enviroment doesn't matter because system turn off display even if X isn't started.
I just installed pm-utils and acpid. Wrote handler on closing laptop and nothing else. So I can not imagine why it goes offline...

the lack of a desktop environment is also useful information.
pm-utils does not handle dimming.
i dont think you can switch off after a timeout the display with acpid.
