Mmmm..
In fast decoding attack.. implements the search/filter to the current playlist.. Finally, is a dialog similar to winamp or audacious.(Particularly inspired by audacious code)

Is not anything optimized, but works fine ..

Pleasee.. test, and comment your impressions.

Between many changes like:
* Sort Albums in library view by release-year. Thank to Fabian Köster.
* Finally!. Improve the speed of the library view!.
* Select and set cursor on new song when drop a tack on current playlist.
* Only jump to tack droped when change the model, and scroll to the same position.
* Add a popup menu on file entry of tag editor, to open folder and copy selection to title tag, artist tag, etc. Every they loved it. haha.
* Save changes when press enter on tag entry.
* Add option to highlight rows on current_playlist. Thanks to Brett Kleinschmidt.
* Split year - album in library view and show it when edit tags.
* Add preferences option to sort albums by release year.
* Show track_no and year only if are positive. Anymore -1 strangers.
* Fix somes memory leaks and occasional cleanup..

I need that test especially these functions:
* Add option to activate instant filter or search only when press enter.
* Return playback status icon on current playlist. Thanks to Brett Kleinschmidt.

Many of these changes has long been required by all of you.

Hello People.
Few changes this month. I'm busy with the study.

Uhmm..
For now, only adds a new submenu called "Add to playlist", which replaces the "Save selection" option, showing the saved playlists and lets you create a new one. I think most will love this change.

Because of this, it changed many strings to translate. Mainly, the changes were to clarify when referring to the current playlist. For example, "Replace playlist" to "Replace current playlist"

All these changes are in subversion and Transifex.
Again I asking help to translate pragha, and I particularly like to do so from Transifex.

Finaly...
Pragha 0.8.9 and 0.98.0. WTF?. Curious. No?

News:
A new menu "Add to playlist" that replaces "Save selection" on current playlist.
More speed when Clear, Remove, and Crop tracks on current playlist.
More speed to add tracks to the current playlist from popup menu.
More speed to add playlists to the current playlist.

Others Changes:
Change "Play Audio CD" menu item to "Add Audio CD".
Only sensitive the options clear and save playlist in the menu of current playlist when there is no selection.
Minor code cleanup to coordinate with gstreamer port.

Updates Translations:
Update French tranlations thanks to raphaelh.
Changed many strings to translate. Please help to update your native language.

Bugs fixed:
D'Oh!. Fix show album library view when select genre!. Nobody saw it?
Use cddb_query to search audio cd info. Fix poor results of cddb.
Fix possible memory leak when save tags.
Fix warning when to year < 0 on tag editor.

Pragha 0.99.0 and 0.8.10 released.

Uhmm.. Pragha 0.99.0.. Effectively, the last version before Pragha 1.0

Many people will say that are missing features.. that is more a beta.. that has many problems.. bugs, and so. If you think this, please make it known.

Is true.. There are many things to polish, fix, but in general Pragha now meets all my expectations.

This version is interesting. First time that pragha has all the features that originally had consonance. Now restore the audio device settings. But in the middle lost the support to lastfm, lyrics, audio CD, and now everything works correctly again.

Meanwhile.. The major change is that Pragha was ported to gsreamer. Many dislike the change, but this allowed support for more audio files like asf, wma, mp4, m4a and ape, and also add support to pulseaudio sound server and OSSv4. Now use a complete rewrite of the lastfm support, thanks to http://liblastfm.sourceforge.net/, that add the ability to identify like Pragha, get the album art, get the artist information, append similar songs of current playback, love, unlove, and now implement a basic cache for downloaded cover art in "(home)/.cache/pragha-album-art" with a option to search the album art automatically. Recently added a function to filter the current playlist, not exactly as I wanted (Mainly because of this impediment https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=588250), but it works great!, and now can add songs to the playback queue with this dialog. Also by license change of http://www.lyricsplugin.com/ switch the search lyrics to http://www.chartlyrics.com/ with a dialogue. This gives strange results sometimes, but the code is correct.. The problem is chartlyrics that seems abandoned and now I'm looking for alternatives. Any suggestions?.

All this in the version of gstreamer, and many will be backported in version 0.8.11, but before the port to gstreamer, many changes were made, and many people they must be thanked.

A summary of the major changes ..
First of all!, Translations!. If pragha not translated to your language, please help!.
A fully renovated GUI.
Playback Queue.
MPRIS2 Support.
Lots of bugs fixed.
Lots of changes of behavior that most of people do not know, but greatly improved the ergonomics and functionality Pragha, and are really important.
.. and many more changes that can remember in the NEWS file, together with all the acknowledgments.

As always.. Everything can be improved much more, and any help, suggestions, or complaints are welcome.

Let's remember. Pragha 0.8.10 continue exist and maintained, but exept the lastfm and lyrics backport, not add new features. Only bug fixes. Sorry if anyone is disappointed.

I just uploaded a release candidate of Pragha 1.0
It has the same quality as any of the previous releases, but I want that pragha 1.0 be released with the least amount of bugs possible.

Can test it???
The changes until now are these:

V1.0.RC1
News:
Now use libglyr to search lyrics, cover art, and artist info if available. [1]
Use the cache of libglyr to save the downloaded artist info and lyrics in a Metadata.db file.

Others Changes:
Tiny reorganization of the menu.
Change cache folder from pragha-album-art to pragha.
Now append "album-" string to covers in cache. Quasi simplified MediaArtStorageSpec, except md5. jah.
Adds some debug messages in mpris.c and avoid bad spaces.
Select the next row to the last selected when remove tracks in current playlist.
Remeber window position when restart pragha. Thanks to carlosjosepita.
Allow to use relative paths to add files with command line.
Open the image when double click on the cover in the panel.

Bugs fixed:

News?
Added ability to rename playlists, and now you can listen Internet radios. For now, this is very basic (Just open the full paths to the stream like mmsh://mega.telecomdatacenter.com.ar/mega?MSWMExt=.asf and not playlist like http://mega.telecomdatacenter.com.ar/mega), but demonstrates the power of gstreamer.

Is Good news, or aberration?. haha.

Note: Yesterday released 0.99.1.1 with only bug fixes, espcially for the packers, but please do not stop to try 1.0rc2. It is fully recommended the RC!-)

Today upload Pragha 1.0.rc3. The last RC to 1.0 hope.

Well. New?. Few, and I have nothing new in mind. This is the last RC and these are all the features I want!.
* Add a option to show the playback controls below.
* Can select a name when add radio streams to save on db and append to playlist tree.

Others Changes?.
* Fix/Change somes strings. Sorry. The changes are important!. and I think were necessary.
* Init pragha with focus on play button.
* Add the new stream with the uri/name as title.
* Better layout of rename and add location dialog.
* Add a new popup menu with "New playlist" and a list of saved playlist to "Save playlist" like the "Add selection" popup.
* Also append boths pupups submenus to main menu.
* Properly set the title in save playlist dialogs.
* Edit track information when double click on the track label of the panel.
* When playback is stopped and no has selected any track, play a random track if shuffle has activated.

Bugs fixed?.
* Remove useless warning "Everything is fine" when no found a cover.
* No search artist information when missing the artist name.
* No search lyrics when missing the title or artist name.
* Init the threads conditionally depending on the version of glibc, removing g_thread_init deprecated in 2.31
* Remove unused code, that remove g_strncasecmp deprecated function.
* Better buffering streaming. Prevent that it refuse to stop the playback.

Maybe the problem is the following line in the PKGBUILD?

Without the line it goes farther, but still fails at the end with

It seems that the file /src/praha.h is not updated.

update_related_state is defined in line 1313 of /src/pragha.h since r313 and full function is in the file /src/glyr-related.c.

I do not know how to works PKGBUILD.. But it seems that not update the file, due to a conflict with any previous modification.

Test (To see any change of code): svn diff ./src
or remove /src/pragha.h and manually updated subversion (svn up)
Or much better .. remove all pragha folder, and re-download from subversion. Or download it automatically by PKGBUILD.. But a clean download.

No idea, where the problem is... I also tried to check out the SVN and compile the code manually and still get the same error... In pragha.h the function is defined, but the functions in threads.c seem not to notice it.

Also try compiling with libglyr. I think are packages for archlinux.

Unfortunately consonance is dead. Almost 3 years (April 2009) that is not updated.

Now the project was transformed/"Forked" into Pragha, that received many changes from consonance. Now you can download the new code from: http://code.google.com/p/dissonance

Unfortunately, I continue writing on this forum for habit, and this creates confusion. We must remedy.

Of course, I invite you to try pragha.
Now exist two versions, the 0.8.* which is the most respected consonance. And the version 0.99/1.0rc that change the audio engine by gstreamer. You can use the version that you prefer.

mm.. As a Christmas gift for the melancholy? I upload a version of consonance that fix the compilation with newer version of libnotify (It is your error broi!-), and you can compile it with new distributions.

It is interesting to see the progress from Consonance to Pragha. My answer when compare was: Woow... amazing..

Well.. Also.. I can not stop to thank to Sujith for the excellent work he did with Consonance.

I just downloaded and installed 0.8.10., you know, I prefer stable (compile/install with no issues/errors) (later, I will try 0.9 too) It's very nice and fast, I was looking for something like this for some time and I'm glad now
Only issue is similar to the one from Bugs list: "Jumping to Next/Previous track sometimes results in a brief, high-pitch squeal, as if playback is being sped-up 10x just before the track switch." -> But, my issue is whatever track I play, it's high pitch, whole song, is there a way to fix it? (yes I googled it, nothing but bug I specified)
Everything other is just great, gratz to developers and Sujith

EDIT: This morning, I entered Pragha just to check if it's still pitched up, you know I hoped it will not because I really like it , and it's all right now strange but great ^^
