I installed arch on my laptop yesterday (netinstall), but I can't seem to get wireless to work... I have an Intel WiFi Link 5100 wireless card, and wlan0 shows up as an interface but can't connect to anything.
running iwconfig wlan0 returns the following:
wlan0 IEEE 802.11abgn ESSID:off/any
Mode:Managed Access Point: Not-Associated Tx-Power=15 dBm
Retry long limit:7 RTS thr:off Fragment thr:off
Power Management:on
running ip addr returns this:
3: wlan0: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST> mtu 1500 qdisc noop state DOWN qlen 1000
link/ether 00:22:fa:35:bc:da brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff
can anyone help?

Have you followed the directions from the wiki?
It appears your interface is down.

See whether the following helps:
sudo ip link set dev wlan0 up
How do you try to connect?
