GNOME Cheese Not Displaying Previews Properly

I'm running a 2-year-old HP G70t-200 laptop with GNOME 3. At a whimsy, I decided that my Twitter and Google+ profile picture needs to be updated, so I downloaded Cheese to get the job done. Unfortunately, Cheese's preview pane is all screwed up, thus not allowing me to take a picture.

I have a feeling that this may be a driver issue, but I have no idea what drivers I should download to get my webcam working. I did some Googling, and I found the command to list my specs:

$ lsusb
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 004 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 005 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 006 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 007 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 008 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 0bda:0158 Realtek Semiconductor Corp. USB 2.0 multicard reader
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 064e:a102 Suyin Corp. Acer/Lenovo Webcam [CN0316]

Who knows if that's correct, but obviously it's seeing my webcam. My question for everyone is this: anyone know how to fix this? I'm kind of a Linux newbie, so I'm not exactly sure what information everyone needs, but if you provide me with the command, I'll happily supply you with the information requested. Also, thank you for any and all help!

EDIT:
Here's a screenshot I took of Cheese acting up, just so you can see what's happening.

Changed to link per moderator comment, and because I have no idea how to post a thumbnail. Be warned! This is a big picture!.

Moderator comment:
A 1.3 MB picture. Really?  I know the picture is critical to the post, but some of our readers are bandwidth limited.  Please see our policy.  If you like, go ahead and edit your post again and add a thumbnail and use image tags to point to that thumbnail inside the url link I created.    That way, readers can see the thumbnail, and click through it if they want to see the full size image.

Thanks.
