[solved] UVC Webcam detected but not working with Dell xps L702x

Hello,
I have a problem using integrated webcam with Arch. Cheese, skype and other applications using webcam seem to detect the cam as led turns on when I try the camera, but no image is captured by it.
Here my lsusb:

$ lsusb
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0003 Linux Foundation 3.0 root hub
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 004 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 8087:0024 Intel Corp. Integrated Rate Matching Hub
Bus 004 Device 002: ID 8087:0024 Intel Corp. Integrated Rate Matching Hub
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 0955:7002 NVidia Corp.
Bus 001 Device 015: ID 0408:2fb1 Quanta Computer, Inc.
Bus 004 Device 004: ID 046d:c05d Logitech, Inc. Optical Mouse

Camera is Bus 001 Device 015: ID 0408:2fb1 Quanta Computer, Inc. and it is mentioned in list web page of linux uvc project http://www.ideasonboard.org/uvc/
The list reports that this model of webcam (here called Laptop Integrated Webcam 2HDM (Dell XPS notebooks)) is fully operational.
Here my related kernel modules, running without problems but not doing job well evidently:

$ lsmod | grep uvc
uvcvideo               57555  0
videodev               77028  2 uvcvideo,v4l2_common
media                   8609  2 uvcvideo,videodev
usbcore               120796  5 uvcvideo,usbhid,xhci_hcd,ehci_hcd
$ lsmod | grep v4l
v4l2_common             5407  0
videodev               77028  2 uvcvideo,v4l2_common
i2c_core               16816  4 v4l2_common,videodev,nvidia,i2c_i801

As I told webcam is even shown in skype and cheese but when I activate it and operative led turns on, all I obtain is a black output.
With luvcview I have black output, too, and it interestingly freezes on quit (had to use top to eventually send it a SIGKILL), here the brief output:

$ luvcview -d /dev/video1
luvcview 0.2.6

SDL information:
  Video driver: x11
  A window manager is available
Device information:
  Device path:  /dev/video1
Stream settings:
  Frame format: MJPG
  Frame size:   640x480
  Frame rate:   30 fps

Quit signal received.

Any idea? I feel like I'm doing something wrong..
Thanks

L

Re: [solved] UVC Webcam detected but not working with Dell xps L702x

Nevermind, I don't know why but webcam eventually began to work. Don't know if it may be thanks to the kernel update I received few minutes ago, but that's it.
