Hi guys.
Is there a way to control the screen dim on my laptop (thinkpad edge 13'') when there is no power supply? Currently the screen dims after 5 secs. This is very annoying when I try to read something or watch a movie.
Thanks

I have found presentation mode extension for gnome shell. I have also downloaded dimdaemon but I don't know how to use it....
Edit:
I think it might not be clear that the presentation mode extension will disable the automatic dim. It will also disable the auto screen save.

@OP: The wiki has a page about laptops including sections on power management and screen dimming.
