Hi all
I was wondering whether it's possible to develop Qt applications for Symbian using Arch Linux packages? I have installed qt and qtcreator but when I get the choice to choose which platform to compile on I can only choose desktop, no Symbian or other mobile platforms (such as MeeGo) are shown or even mentioned.
Also when using QtQuick, it automatically imports 'com.nokia.symbian 1.1' and according to the compiler this doesn't exist. Maybe this suggests that qt hasn't been compiled with mobile support?
Is there anyway to develop Qt applications on Symbian using Arch Linux?
Thanks

I wonder myself that also, bu i think you need to install some libraries for that. I wished to code for N9 and for that i need to go into WIndows.
But you can use Qt Nokia installer, but then you will have two Qt Creators.
Still if you find a way just post it here.

You need the Nokia SDK
I think there are some packages in the AUR but they're not really funcional. For the moment you could just install the package Nokia provides.

Thanks for the answers I have a look around for some PKGBUILD's and maybe attempt to make them work but it seems the Nokia SDK is the way to go.

Hi!
I'm also trying to get some Qt running on my Nokia 5800, but didn't succeed using the Qt SDK. I was able to use the device simulator, but unable to bundle the app into an .sis file and move it over to the phone. Am I missing something here? I haven't tried the SDK on Windows yet, but I'd prefer to do my development on my Linux machine.
If you write a PKGBUILD or find any leads, I'd be glad to hear!
