I think the biggest difference for people here on Arch, that I can think of, is b43 users. There's 3 different firmwares and I know kernel 3.2 brings in a b43 driver that requires a different firmware compared to kernel's <3.2. People who are using the wrong firmware may need to switch to a different one once 3.2 comes to stable Arch. Question would be: does that rise to the level of a notification-post on the Home page?
Edit:
Here's the posting on b43's page: http://linuxwireless.org/en/users/Drive … oned_above
Notice "If you are using the b43 driver from 3.2 kernel or newer:"
And "If you are using the b43 driver from older kernel:"

that's why b43 users should use b43-firmware from aur
Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.

In the search link I gave above: b43-firmware-latest is for kernel 3.2+ and b43-firmware is for <3.2. That is the, ahem, AUR search link good sir. If someone is using b43-firmware however, they may not catch that they need to remove that and migrate to b43-firmware-latest when kernel 3.2 hits.
I actually have a Broadcom 4311 in my laptop. I never use it and use a wired connection instead simply because no driver I've tried has been stable enough - mostly frequent disconnects/non-responsive - so when 3.2 hits I may just try it again with b43-firmware-latest and see if it's better!

maybe b43-firmware will update when 3.2 comes to Arch.

Fwiw - I have the 4318 chipset, and have used b43 happily for years. Just upgraded to 3.2 kernel from testing, and 5.100.138 firmware, as recommended by linuxwireless.org, and linked by headkase above. All working fine.
wonder, I understand why you recommend the AUR package, but users should know that it's optional. Personally, I prefer to manage this myself - my link to the net is too important to trust to some random stranger (no offense Xavion ).
