Contributing to the wiki

I want to ask a question regarding contributing to the wiki. Since the wiki has helped me get this beauty of an OS working, I want to help the wiki (and others) by writing more newbie friendly guides. My first one is about Shorewall and I'm planning on doing it in English, Dutch and possibly Russian. My question is: how welcome are these newbie friendly articles? I ask this because I've read the wiki contribution page and there doesn't seem to be anything about writing new articles.

TL:DR

So yeah I want to know if it's welcome to write newbie friendly guides on the wiki.

Umm, it seems you're right, https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ge … olved#Wiki doesn't say a thing about writing new articles ;P I think it's OK if you add it.
Please read https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Help:Editing and https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Help:Style before you start.

Yeah I'm gonna sandbox/read a lot before I make anything final. Thanks for the tip!

We already have some info about shorewall: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Router#Shorewall , https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ro … #Shorewall and https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Fi … #Shorewall so you can start by reading what already is provided, cleaning up and updating if needed.

Ohh I was having trouble finding it myself so I had to use external guides. Well I'll probably just contribute with edits/additions for now, until I stuble upon something not documented in our wiki. Also isn't it weird to have Shorewall in the same section as router?

EDIT:
I'll probably merge that router section in to one article and have a redirect from both pages. Would make it alot more cleaner IMO.
