Archiso broken by pacman 4.0 signed packages

Hi all,

I tried to build a custom Arch Linux live media using archiso. I strictly followed the wiki here:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Archiso
I get to the point where I should do

pacman -Sy devtools libisoburn squashfs-tools

and pacman throws this error

error: GPGME error: Inappropriate ioctl for device

for several times. No joy with alans suggestion here:
http://mailman.archlinux.org/pipermail/ … 01994.html
to do

mount --bind /dev/pts "${working_dir}/dev/pts"

Same error  sad

Could someone have a look at this?

Harvey

You need to post this in the bugtracker.

There is no 'official' archiso package nor an entry in AUR. I contacted the author of https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=25996 who told me to report upstream. I would like to - but on the project page http://projects.archlinux.org/archiso.git/ there is no chance to contact anybody. So I was unsure whom to contact and thought I might try the forum. Sigh. O.K., I'll open an antry in the bugtracker hoping nobody will kill me for being mislead again...

There's an 'ArchISO' category in the 'Release Engineering' section of the bugtracker: https://bugs.archlinux.org/newtask/proj6

I don't get it, sorry. If I don't know that 'ArchISO' belongs to 'Release Engineering' I won't find this category. This seems to be some kind of circular dependency wink
Or do I just miss something obvious?

Re: Archiso broken by pacman 4.0 signed packages

I had to search for it myself ;P https://bugs.archlinux.org/index/proj0? … &sort=desc
I saw the ArchISO category in there and noticed it's (quite logically) in the Release Engineering project so I decided to post this info here.
I think the report can be moved to the right place if it needs to.
