[solved] How to help new [testing] repo users

If somebody wants to contribute by using the [testing] repo, he will likely run into pacman 4 signing issues because I don't see them documented properly. https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Te … testing.5D tells you to subscribe to the ML but I doubt anyone will go back a couple months to read about things already being in effect. I'm afraid neither https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Pa … ge_signing nor https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Pacman-key is sufficiently visible.

Do we expect people to figure things out by themselves or come to the IRC / forums - or do we want to make it a bit easier for them?

Yes, generally. IMO.

Allan-Volunteer on the (topic being discussed) mailn lists. You never get the people who matters attention on the forums.

pacman 4 is in [core] now, w/o any announcement, so I guess the devs concur with your opinion :-)
