RTAI 3.8 Installation

Hi
I want to install RTAI 3.8 on arch Linux. So I have downloaded kernel linux-2.6.23.tar.bz2 and patched it to hal-linux-2.6.23-i386-1.12-03.patch in RTAI patch folder.
Then for configure the kernel i get following error:

#make menuconfig
Makefile:416: *** mixed implicit and normal rules. Stop.

Do you have any suggestion for solving the problem?

I could run make with the 2.6.32.54 kernel but the problem is that for installation i get the following error>

sh /usr/src/linux/2.6.32.54/arch/x86/boot/install.sh 2.6.32.54 arch/x86/boot/bzImage \
System.map "/boot"
cannot find Lilo.
any idea?
