Temporarily enabling testing

Hi all - bit of a "vague" question - would it screw anything up to  temporarily enable testing in pacman.conf to get a raft of new packages, then doing a # pacman -Syu to get those new packages - then after you've got those new packages, disable testing again in pacman.conf, and then going back to normal updates with pacman -Syu on current and extra only?

Cheers Dib , just checking - on a related point, does anyone know if the informational messages eventually disappear when the relevant packages from testing make it into current etc - for example - if you pull in kdebase 3.4.2 from testing then run pacman -Syu on current and extra you get:

:: kdebase: local version (3.4.2-2) is newer than repo version (3.4.1-4)

So, would these kind of messages eventually disappear when the relevant packages move from testing into current??

What I do is as follows:

specify testing as the *last* repo in pacman.conf.  That way it won't automatically pull packages from it.  Then if you want something (say kdebase) from testing, you can do "pacman -S testing/kdebase"

When I do this and the packages move from testing or unstable to current or extra the messages stop.
