Did complete upgrade again after a few months. Everything but printing looks like it's running as before.
I overlooked all settings, there is still A4 paper everywhere, nothing seems broken, but the system still tells the printer to start printing sooner! So now it printes some 1 cm higher on the paper and there is blank room on the bottom. Basicly everything is moved higher on the sheet. What happenned to it?

Why don't you recalibrate your printer first?
If that doesn't work you can start working your way through the backlog of upgrades .

Where should I do that? Never had to do such a thing before, it used to be almost plug'n'play.

Either through CUPS or with a utility provided by the manufacturer.

Well, thats stuff from HP was strange and not working good.
Where can I find this in CUPS? I had a look into default printer options but there is not much to change and nothing more about paper than format (which is A4).
