Hi,
Okay, it's been a while since my last post.
I just did a sysup, pacman has been asking me for the keys...I did issue
pacman-key --init
and re-issue
pacman -Syu
now it keeps asking to impot keys. Where do I look for info? Sorry If I come with a question that has been answered but right now, I'm pretty nervous...
Tnks

Have you merged your pacnew files?

No, not done yet, (hit me on the head) - how do I do that again?
Edit : I never changed the conf, could'nt I simply use the pacnew as config instead?

I'd start with searching the wiki. Ah, there it is: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Pa … save_Files

In this case, yeah, just do
$ sudo mv /etc/pacman.conf /etc/pacman.conf.backup
$ sudo mv /etc/pacman.conf.pacnew /etc/pacman.conf
and the same for makepkg.conf.

Hi,
Okay, I did a full sysup...and survived. Unles there's something I stil need to look at, I should by all means
- thank karol for helping out
- thank karol for showing me something more to read/learn
- mark this as solved...
Phew, thanks karol!

You're welcome. Next time please read the front page news and do as they tell you:
As always, please make sure to merge your pacnew files!
http://www.archlinux.org/news/pacman-4-moves-to-core/ (in case you haven't read it already; it has some more links)

I did, the merging was somewhat of a blind spot...eh, I learned something new. And, yes, the frontpage SHOULD be the starting point, learned that last time...
Marking this as solved now!
