Lenovo y470 / Nvidia 550m / Optimus

Greetings.

I understand that hybrid graphics/Nvidia Optimus has been discussed multiple times.

I have a Lenovo y470. The laptop uses Nvidia Optimus with:
-Intel 3000 (Integrated Graphics card on Sandy Bridge i5-2410m, actually really good for integrated graphics)
-Nvidia GeForce 550m

Optimus works fine in Windows 7.
I am aware of the Bumblebee project, yet confused when it comes to apci_call.

My goal:
-When in Windows, use Nvidia Optimus.
-When in Arch (any Linux distro, really), the discrete graphics card is TURNED OFF (Just the Intel 3000 is running), not turned on and non active. I have no reason to run both at the same time, nor any reason to run the discrete graphics in Linux at all!

From what I understand, it is possible to select the graphics card to run in BIOS, however that would apply to both Windows and Arch, yes?

So, is apci_call my option? If so, please elaborate/link me (I have Google and looked through Wiki). I am confused on what to do there.
