VirtualBox: is it possible to port VDI files across architectures?

Hi,

Is it possible to port an existing .vdi file from i686 to x86_64, for instance?

Re: VirtualBox: is it possible to port VDI files across architectures?

I keep my vdi images on a separate partition along with other shared documents and run them on both i686 and x86_64 distributions. So if this is what you mean, the answer is 'yes'.

Edit: All my virtual systems are 32 bit.

You can go further. I also keep my VMs on a drive shared between Win7 and Linux, and use the same VMs on both OSes.
