Firefox auto-adding extention?

Hey all, I have a peculiar problem.  To support dual-booting, I have a FAT32 partition - it is in a folder here that Firefox downloads any files. My problem is this: whenever I download a file, Firefox feels the need to automatically tack an extension on the end, even if one is already there!

I'll get files like:
something.torrent.torrent
movie.wmv.exe ('cause FF thinks it's a 'binary file')
and so on...

Has anyone heard of this before, or know how to fix it?  It's not much of a problem, it's just... annoying. tongue

Thanks!

Re: Firefox auto-adding extention?

Does the same thing happen if you save the files to a native linux partition (ext2/ext3/reisefFS etc.)

ARCH 0.7 (2.6.13) & Open SuSE 10.0 :: AMD XP2100+ :: 512 DDR-333 Ram :: 128MB Geforce 6600 (Nvidia 7664) :: 80GB HDD :: SBLive Value

Nope -- if I change the save location to a folder off ~, it works fine.  Crazy Firefox...
