Question on udev to devs

Dear arch devs, can you explain to all these users, who are experiencing problems, why you moved to core newer version of udev?
Couldn't it remain in testing?
Thanks...

Maybe you can post your question to the ML (if it hasn't been asked already)?

Re: Question on udev to devs

I guess Arch is simply bleeding edge like that. The issues are well understood by now, the forum contains info on how to workaround them, so I don't see it as much of an issue anymore. The only thing that could've been done better is communication - there should've been a news post on the homepage about this stuff, as it was known that udev exposes issues in drivers that load firmware (mostly wireless drivers).

I can't do it, but don't think it'll be useful...
