Pointers about AUR corrections

OK, I've already checked the wiki and can't quite figure out the answer to this.

There are 3 AUR packages (all related) that appear to have been orphaned, and which have broken PKGBUILD files. Now, I can fix the PKGBUILD, but I don't particularly want to adopt the packages (the base packages are beyond my scope). What are my options for submitting fixed PKGBUILD files without actually adopting the project?

That was my first thought.  Stebalien, you must be a coder.  Kind of reminds me of a spin lock.

Roken,  You could also post a comment including a diff file that others can use to patch the PKGBUILD.  That way, others can use the existing file or can update it with your work.  Should someone else pick it up, they could start from your patch.
