systemd: missing services for daemons

Hello,

meanwhile a lot of daemons in arch support systemd and provide service files in /lib/systemd/system.

What I am still missing, are the files for the daemons postfix, dovecot and cpufreq. To start them, I still have them in the daemons array in /etc/rc.conf.

Are they on the "to do list" for package updates or whom can I address to get systemd support for these daemons?

Thanks, Dieter

Re: systemd: missing services for daemons

I'd propose to provide patches upstream.

Postfix could be based on Gentoo: http://en.gentoo-wiki.com/wiki/Systemd#Postfix or the more complicated Red Hat solution: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=718793.

Re: systemd: missing services for daemons

I actually meant you get in contact with the projects that still miss a systemd daemon script and provide it to them as a patch. If it will be included is of course another question (and rather questionable to be honest).
In the meantime you can file a feature request on the Arch bugtracker and politely ask for inclusion. Another option is creating a PKGBUILD for your daemon script and upload it to the AUR.
