Re: 2 Instances of network manager applet and unable to close

Hey guys..

Same problem:

I have 2 identical usb n wifi adapters. when i the first time switch them, network manager adds another nm 'widget'.

I suspect that if i had 10 identical adapters, nm would start 10 nm-'widgets' even though i only use one of them.

1: Does nm not inactivate old entries of 'same' type, or is it another prg that incorrectly identifies them as active ?
2. Which nm file contains the list of adapters? (Better to solve it, but in case.. )

I also now have two networkmanager applets after pacman and system update. Can't figure it out, and it's driving me crazy. Any help would be awesome.

Re: 2 Instances of network manager applet and unable to close

I also had this problem while running first AWN then tint2 as my taskmanager.

I use wicd as my wireless manager. I found out that I started wicd from the DAEMONS section in rc.conf and from my .xinitrc.

After I commented out wicd in .xinitrc one of the two applet icons disappeared...

Is that any help?

If the Matrix was real, it would run on Arch...
