Fresh install - unable to install kdebase

Hello everyone,

I did a fresh Arch installation right from the net since I messed up something with my kernel, and wanted to try out the new KDE anyway. So here is the thing. Everytime I invoke:

pacman -S kde-meta-kde{base,utils}

all packages are downloaded just fine. But then the strange things start to happen. I get the following error-messages:

(148/148) checking package integrity [######################] 100%
(148/148) loading package files [######################] 100%
error: error while reading package /var/cache/pacman/pkg/kdepim-runtime-4.8.0-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz: Truncated input file (needed 4608 bytes, only 0 available)
error: failed to commit transaction (libarchive error)
Errors occurred, no packages were upgraded.

And after some:

pacman -Scc

And switching to another mirror I get the same errors with random packages. I already downloaded all of the packages several times from several mirrors. Also rm'ing the names packages and redownloading them again resulted into the same error just with one or more other packages.
I am kind of puzzled over here since for example the following process completed without any hickups:

pacman -S finch openssh

Maybe this is due to the fact that the kde-packages are pretty new in the repos? Since with pacman 4 there were introduced some neat and heavy new features?

Please help me out here I have been trying to install kde for almost 2 days now without any success

I tried it another time and now I got the following errors:

Errors occurred, no packages were upgraded.

Can't someone help me out please? I am really desperate right now. I even reinstalled everything form scratch. Still the same problems Am I doing something wrong here? Did something change after the upgrade to pacman 4 concerning the installation process?

I 'm not sure if cleaning the cache and mirror syncing can help you.
