vlc-ncurses

i am trying to build the lightest vlc. but there are so many options in ./configure.
question:
1. is there a way to disable all options, and enable some options I want later?
2. does mplayer have a upstream git web repo? I can only find mplayer2's.
3. can anyone help to check https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=56226 ?
I hope this will benefit non-qt users.
