Hey, well the title says it all. Basically ive installed windows while having linux already installed several times and bad things happen. How can i prevent windows from overwriting grub?
(also, what are the benefits of a home partition? when i was using arch on my old pc i just used a / partition and made a home directory)
Thanks for all the help you can give

Don't think you can - the windows installer doesn't ask permission to f*ck your daughter, it just does it. Good news is that it's easily unf*cked. See the 'install existing' wiki article. One benefit of a separate /home is that you can reinstall a root partition without messing with the /home partition.
