Grub won't install to SD drive (/dev/mmcblk0)

I have installed Arch on SD drives many times with succes. Now on a <1 year EliteBook (*does*) have SD in bios boot options the Arch installation goes fine but Grub just won't find it, returning error:
"/dev/mmcblk0 does not have any corresponding BIOS drive"

BTW it's the first time the SD drive is mounted as /dev/mmcblk0, previously always seen as /dev/sdx (and I read somewhere that Grub might have a bug that doesn't allow it to see /dev/m*)

I have tried adding /dev/mmcblk0 to /boot/grub/device.map

and used the --recheck option with grub

Even tried this solution with chroot
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=224351

Still it wont find it and I can't install Grub to SD?

Re: Grub won't install to SD drive (/dev/mmcblk0)

Still lost but it seems this seems to be a bug yes with grub not reading /dev/mmcblk0, someone hade the same problem and could remap the SD card to a prober /dev/sdX type
http://www.mail-archive.com/debian-bugs … 90204.html

how can I do that and why doesn't it show up as sdX as it has done on all other computers until now? It even seems to confuse the whole system, I can't even grub to hard drive (sda), same bios error?!
