Any work around that makes better working speed of USB devices?

At kernel 3.0 and above I'm taking very low speeds of copying, or moving files...... lower than in kernels 2.6.xx and unders (including arch linux ones)

there's some workaround/patch/config file that could solve this issue? I'd ever seen faster speeds than windows in arch linux, but, at this time (arch 3, and fedora 16 too) it's not the same.

In some forums I've read that it's a trouble in kernel 3.0. But I couldn't found a answer.

Anyone here knows something about this?

I'm using USB 3.0 devices, and correctly configured to use USB3.0 bandwith. Just on kernels 3.0 and above does it happens

This may be what you are searching for:
    https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 7#p1032307
    https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/27957

I don't suffer from this problem so I haven't tried the solution.

Also, a common mistake is to have them mounted with "sync" rather than "flush" option - use "mount" to see.
